What can you expect when you work with me?

Yesterday I went through my old Canadian Business magazines and stumbled across an opinion piece by Sir Richard Branson: “Define your brand and deliver on your promise.” Truthfully, despite my ability to do this for countless companies (either on the agency or company side) I hadn’t spelled it out for my own.

When I began to think about the promise I make to my clients, it was clear: trusted resource (with a dash of no bullshit.)

I’m not an expert.

Let’s get that out of the way first thing. I’ve never pretended to be one, I just love what I do and I try to learn and test as much as I can. But I do think I’m pretty good at what I do & I’ve helped many clients achieve some pretty incredible results.

My brain is full of intel and skills that I’ve acquired from years of getting up at the crack-of-dawn to learn & try new things.

Though I love focusing on everything ‘online,’ I have graphic design, creative writing and  various other PR skills in my back pocket as well! So I feel pretty comfortable jumping into other projects as well.

Speaking of projects, I treat them all as if they’re something I’m spending my own hard-earned money on.

My aim is to bring my clients value, always.

I work hard to ensure that my clients are informed and feel informed.

I do a lot of check-ins!

I will always provide perspective for clients, which I believe is in their best interest.

If something comes up that’s out of my comfort zone, I’ve built a network of individuals with various business backgrounds who we can lean on for expertise.

Finally, I refuse to nickel & dime. It’s not my shtick.

Kat Macaulay is a Marketing Strategist, Writer + Speaker known for her no-nonsense approach to pretty much everything. Using data insights, she helps organizations market more effectively to get results that matter. She's also a high-scoring instructor at Mount Royal University, where she teaches Social Media Analytics and Google Analytics + Marketing Measurement. She holds certifications from Google, as well as Facebook and is currently working toward a specialization in Marketing Analytics and a certificate in Data Science from IBM. When she’s not busy juggling kids, volunteering + work, she’s busy planning her retirement to Cape Breton.
